SCLT VISIT SENIOR COMMUNITY LINK IN WORLE (UK)
The SCLT Public Presentation Team were recently delighted to accept a repeat invitation to visit one of the Senior Community Link groups in North Somerset (UK), having previously been guests of the Weston-super-Mare branch of the group.
The monthly meeting was attended by more than 40 senior members of the community, who were active participants in the 45-minute, interactive senior safety presentation. SCLT Volunteer Ash Jones facilitated the session, he said; "Our presentation is themed around doorstep crime and general scams and cons that are frequently encountered by members of the older adult community"."
"Hopefully some of today's participants will have picked up some tips from the session that they will share with friends and neighbours. The goal of the SCLT is to spread the senior safety message and visiting groups like Senior Community Link is a great way of engagingwith our target audience"
Everyone who attended the session received a copy of the latest edition of the Senior Siren magazine and one-to-one crime prevention support was also available to those who needed additional assistance.
