Cardiff Bay Rotary Club Play Host to SCLT Public Presentation Team

Tuesday 15th July saw the SCLT Public Presentation Team (PPT) making an increasingly common trip over the Severn Bridge at the invitation of the Cardiff Bay Rotary Club, which meets weekly in the Novotel Hotel in the heart of the capital city of Wales.

SCLT volunteer Ash Jones, himself a former resident of Cardiff, joined the gathering of Rotarians as their guest speaker for the night. The evening included dinner, over which the club members discussed community activities and the many social opportunities which Rotary Club membership involves.

Following the formalities of the meeting, it was time for the guest speaker to entertain the meeting with a fully facilitated PowerPoint presentation on the benefits and pitfalls of an aging population, as well as an overview the ongoing work of the SCLT to provide tailored services for the senior community.

Ash Jones said, "As usual, it has been an enriching experience to spend time with members of the global Rotary community. The organisation does some remarkable work within the neighbourhood and their efforts certainly contribute to improving society for all. I have been humbled to be their guest tonight and enjoyed meeting all the members"
