SCLT Presentation Team Hosted in Bristol
Wednesday 4th March saw SCLT Public Presentation Team volunteer Roger Ibrahim being hosted by the Clifton Seniors Group in the City of Bristol. The club meets every Wednesday and activities include; bowls, card games, hoy and bingo, luncheons are organised every second month, yearly bus trips and visits to other Senior Citizens Clubs are all available to the members.
Roger joined the group for their weekly gathering and entertained them with a fully interactive presentation on senior crime and the issues surrounding the swiftly aging population of the United Kingdom. The session included a fully animated PowerPoint presentation, which highlighted the current scams & cons doing the rounds, as well as suggesting other ways to stay safe in later life.
Following the presentation, Roger said, "I enjoy joining any organisation that brings togther local, retired people in a social setting. These groups certainly offer great opportunities for our seniors to share quality time together and they help to keep folks fully engaged in community activities, which is so useful in avoiding isolation and lonliness in later-life" "
Roger concluded his presentation by giving every member of the group a personal copy of the Senior Siren magazine, which gives contact details for the team, as well as great safety and lifestyle advice for older adults and readers of all age groups.
