SCLT Presentation Team Hosted in Bedminster, Bristol
Wednesday 11th March saw SCLT Public Presentation Team volunteer Roger Ibrahim being hosted by the Bedminster Older Persons Forum meeting in the City of Bristol. The club meets monthly and activities include a range of activities from art to discussion about local community improvment for the senior sector
Roger joined the group for regular weekly gathering and entertained them with a fully interactive presentation on senior crime and the issues surrounding the swiftly aging population of the United Kingdom. The session included a fully animated PowerPoint presentation, which highlighted the current scams & cons doing the rounds, as well as suggesting other ways to stay safe in later life.
Following the presentation, Roger said, "The Bedminster Older Persons Forum is a great local group that really offers a genuine opportunity for seniors to share quality time together and help to keep folks fully engaged in community activities, which is so useful in avoiding isolation and lonliness in later-life" "
Roger concluded his presentation by giving every member of the group a personal copy of the Senior Siren magazine, which gives contact details for the team, as well as great safety and lifestyle advice for older adults and readers of all age groups.
