SCLT Public Presentation Team Visit Trefoil Womens Guild in Nailsea

April 21st saw SCLT volunteer Roger Ibrahim visiting the Trefoil Womens Guild in Nailsea. The group of ladies meet at the historic Tithe Barn in the North Somerset town of Nailsea. The group, which is comprised of ladies who have been involved in the Girl Guiding movement, meet on a monthly basis for talks by guest speakers, companionship, volunteering opportunities and just to enjoy each others company.

Following the event, Rog said, "Well, the evening got off to a challenging start when we turned up to the alloted room to find that there had been a scheduling mix-up and found a live modeling class taking place in the room which the group had booked. In true Dick Emery style, there was a male nude model in the middle of sitting when the ladies of the Guild descended on the class"

"I am pleased to say that it was all sorted easily and the safety presentation was very well received by the audience, who were true to form as former Girl Guides and adopted a very practical approach to the subject of lively safely into later life"

"As usual, every member of the group received a personal copy of the Senior Siren magazine and had the opportunity to ask any senior safety questions"
