SCLT Public Presentation Team Visit Brislington in Bristol

April 22nd saw SCLT volunteer Roger Ibrahim visiting the Seniors (Over 50) Group at the St Peters Methodist Church in Allison Road, Brislington, Bristol. The group meet on a weekly basis for tea, cakes and jovial conversation and companionship. The group, who number over 30 members, also benefit from regular guest speakers on a variety of interesting subjects.

On this occasion, the invited speaker was SCLT volunteer Roger, who regaled the audience of 30 attendees with an interactive presentation on senior safety and home and personal security for the older adult population.

Following the event, Rog said, "The tea and cakes were a great start to the event, and my presentation on the dangers of deception offences which can be directed against the vulnerable and senior community went down very well. The group engaged readily and asked many wide ranging questons"

"As usual, every member of the group received a personal copy of the Senior Siren magazine and had the opportunity to ask any senior safety questions"
