New Year - New Touring Season for SCLT Public Presentation Team

January 2015 has seen the SCLT Public Presentation Team (PPT) commencing an ambitious new season of touring their stable of senior safety presentations for the growing older adult community. SCLT Director Ash Jones kicked off the new programme with a presentation to 55 members of the Nailsea Probus Club for retired professional gentlemen at Mizzymead Recreation Centre in North Somerset (England).

He said, "2015 will see our Public Presentation Team expand in size and also expand in the number of the themed presentations that we will offer to the wider, senior community. We are very excited to see a new presentation on the topic of Senior Road Safety joining our stable of talks. It has been prepared by an expert in the field and will offer tips on staying safe when driving into older age, as well as advice on health, driving checks, getting more economy out of your vehicle, and of course how to approach the difficult subject when it may be time to stop driving due to advanced age"

The presentation to Nailsea Probus Club included a very lively question & Answer session on scams & conns and cyber-crime, with every attendee receiving their own copy of the latest edition of the award-winning Senior Siren magazine, which contains all the very latest advice on staying safe into later life, and how to get in touch with the SCLT to arrange a talk or presentation for your own community group.
