SCLT Public Presentation Team Visit Clevedon, Somerset
Thursday 21st May 2015 has seen SCLT volunteer Roger Buxton visiting the regular social meeting of the Alliance Homes residents group in Searle Court in the Victorian seaside town of Clevedon.
Alliance Homes is a specialist housing provider for the older adult community. As part of their ongoing commitment to residents, they hold regular social gatherings at their various sites to help in the alleviation of lonliness and isolation.
The Clevedon group meets regularly to enjoy light refreshments, lively conversation and to enjoy guest speakers on various subjects.
Following his presentation Roger commented, “Today's presentation was to a small, but very friendly audience. The screen for my projected presentation was a simple sheet, which had been draped over a bookcase, but regardless of the location or surroundings, passing the senior safety message is the most important part of our visit"
Every member of the group received a personal copy of the latest edition of the award-winning magazine of the Senior Citizen Liaison Team, ‘The Senior Siren’, which now is made available to more than 250,000 readers every-other month.
