SCLT Public Presentation Team Visit Brislington History Society

Thursday 25th June 2015 has seen SCLT volunteer Ashley Jones being hosted by the regular meeting of the Brislington History Society, which is held at St Cuthbert's Church Hall in Brislington, Bristol.

The Society holds regular meetings in local venues, holds exhibitions, and assists with enquiries about Brislington and family connections. Members receive a regular newsletter. Talks on Brislington and its history are given to interested groups, illustrated with photographs from the Society's extensive collection.

Following his presentation Ashley commented, “This is a very popular society, with many members who enjoy coming togther to embrace their common interest in the history of this thriving district of Bristol, and also to consider conservation issues affecting the area in the future"

"It was also pleasing to be giving a presentation on senior safety and to discover that one of the audience was celebrating her 90th birthday today. Hopefully she will use some of the information that we have passed and remain safe and secure long into the future"

Every member of the group received a personal copy of the latest edition of the award-winning magazine of the Senior Citizen Liaison Team, ‘The Senior Siren’, which now is made available to more than 250,000 readers every-other month.
