SCLT Public Presentation Team Visits Westbury-on-Trym

Tuesday 6th October 2015 has seen the SCLT Public Presentation Team being invited as special guest speakers at the inaugral meeting of the 'Tuesday Together Club' which is a brand new community venture for the organisers from Westbury Baptist Church (Reedley Road, Bristol).

The group intends to meet weekly at the very well equipped church cafe, where each meeting will feature  presentations from a range of guest speakers, light refreshments and stimulating conversation on all subjects.

The opening event was attended by 20 members the local community, who enthusiastically took part in the facilitated presentation on older adult safety and avoiding scams and cons in daily life.

SCLT volunteer presenter Ash Jones said, “ I was a real pleasaure to be the first ever speaker at this really great community initiative in Westbury. The audience were thoroughly engaged with the senior fraud theme of the presentation and many shared personal experiences of close calls with deceptions, which always adds an element of realism to the proceedings. I wish the group well in their future journey and look forward to visiting again soon "

Every member of the audience received  personal copy of the latest edition of the award-winning Senior Siren magazine.
