SCLT Safety Presentation for Senior Ladies Group

A cold winters night in February saw SCLT volunteer Matt Hawker being hosted by the Milton Ladies Group at Milton Methodist Church in the suburbs of Weston-super-Mare. The session was attended by more than 20 ladies, who learned about all aspects of senior safety, including avoiding doorstep & cyber crime and how to spot general scams and cons.

Matt has been a SCLT presenter for 2-years, he said, "Tonight's meeting has been a good opportunity to meet this lovely group of older adults in the comfort of their own setting and to have a good old chat about staying safe in everyday life."

"We use all the latest equipment and statistics in our sessions, which everyone seems to love, but in basic terms, my goal is very simple - when I leave this group, they will be safer than when I arrived. Thus is the all encompassing ethos of the Senior Citizen Liaison Team charity"

Every member of the audience received their own copy of the award winning Senior Siren magazine.
