Tuesday 3rd October 2017 has seen SCLT volunteer Ash Jones accepting an invitation to join the ladies of the Fishponds Conservative Club at their regular monthly meeting at the Conservative Club on Fishponds Road to deliver a keynote presentation on senior safety - with a particular focus upon financial harm avoidance in one's twilight years. The group meet each to enjoy presentations from informative and interesting speakers on a wide range of subjects, as well as arranging outings to interesting locations and events, as well as enjoying light refreshments and catching up on local news and of course, the raffle!

At the conclusion of his visit, Ash commented, “My visit to the Fishponds Conservative Ladies Group has been very enjoyable and it was a pleasure to share our message of financial safety and how to avoid frauds and scams with the very lively ladies of this enthusiastic group. There was a great deal of energy in the room and I was very pleased to field so many questions from the audience at the conclusion of the main presentation”

Every member of the audience received a personal copy of the award-winning Senior Siren magazine – the quarterly publication of the Senior Citizen Liaison Team, which offers crime prevention advice and a host of other lifestyle information for seniors and those who support elder family members.
