Being a trustee is an extremely rewarding and personally enriching experience and my journey with the SCLT Charity has been extraordinarily enjoyable. I have gained a profound sense of satisfaction and usefullness, as I have raised funds, supported volunteers and worked with the management team on the best governance for the organisation.
It has been a pleasure to meet the Lord Lieutenant, High Sheriff and all the other dignitaries who have come to the event this evening. I really feel that the efforts of the voluntary sector are being recognised and this event is testament to all the amazing work being undertaken in Gwent, for the betterment of local society. I would just like to also pass my most sincere congratulations to all the other winners and nominees for this evening's awards - everyone is a winner in reality and I dedicate this trophy to everyone who does anything to help others who need a little extra support.”
