SCLT Public Presentation Team Visit Woodspring Ladies Luncheon Club


Tuesday 14th February 2017 has seen SCLT volunteer Ash Jones joining the monthly meeting of the Woodspring Ladies Luncheon Club at the Batch Country Hotel in Lymphsam, Somerset to provide the group with one of the SCLT Public Presentation Team's enlightening and entertaining senior safety talks on avoiding financial harm from frauds and scams.


The group, which has around 40 members, was formed several years ago and brings togther members of Somerset and North Somerset community for a convivial meal with lots of stimulating conversation. The group also arrange trips around the country, as well as meals at other locations and many other activities for the lady members.


Following his presentation, Ash commented, “I have really enjoyed joining the ladies of the WLLC for a wonderful luncheon at the Batch Country Hotel and my presentation on senior safety went down very well indeed. The ladies were very engrossed by the talk, with many contributing with their own recent fraud experiences, as well as immersing themselves in the interactivity of the presentation"”


Every member of the audience received a personal copy of the award-winning Senior Siren magazine, which contains advice about staying safe in later life, as well as lots of interesting lifestyle features, such as recipes, personality interviews, short stories and games & puzzles
