Public Presentation Team Visit – Senior Community Coffee Morning in Bath.
Wednesday 18th April 2018 has seen SCLT volunteer presenter Ash Jones attending a coffee morning at the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution (BRLSI) organised by the Bath-based Stone King LLP law firm, as part of their recent series of free, safety mornings for the older adult community in Bath.
Ash, provided a keynote speech on the subject of avoiding financial harm from frauds and scams for the audience of 50 elder citizens, which was delivered using a state-of-the art presentation with video and audio content as the audience enjoyed light refreshments and plenty of support from the many members of staff from Stone King, who had gathered to assist at the event and offer advice to the attendees.
Following his presentation at the event, Ash stated, “I am delighted to support Stone King in their ongoing efforts to help protect the elder citizens of Bath by offering this series of free coffee mornings for those who wish to come along to the splendid Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution to share the advice and tips that I am able to give to help keep folks safe in later life.
This is a great initiative that is to be applauded in this era of increasing victimisation of older adults, particularly in the field of scams and frauds. I very much look forward to the next session in the coming weeks, where I hope we will have yet another maximum capacity audience”
The next event, on the same topic, is being held on Tuesday 1st May 2018 from 11am until 1pm at BRLSI, 16 to 18 Queen Square, Bath BA1 2HN. If you would like to attend, please contact Stone King by writing to: firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01225 337 599.
Every member of the audience received a personal copy of the award-winning Senior Siren magazine, which is produced by the Senior Citizen Liaison Team and published quarterly online and via a local network of outlets.
