Public Presentation Team Visit – Hanham Fibromyalgia Support Group

 

Tuesday 3rd September 2019 has seen SCLT enrichment presenter Ash Jones, accepting an invitation to join  the monthly meeting of the Hanham Fibromyalgia Support Group at their meeting location at Hanham Community Centre for a rendition of the very popular enrichment lecture on the topic of Animal Gallantry.

 

Animals at War: The Dickin Medal - This delightful and often emotional presentation takes the audience on a journey through the recent history of animals at war. By useing examples of some remarkable creatures who, through extreme gallantry or devotion to duty, have been awarded the Dickin Medal - known as the Victoria Cross for animals. We are able to see what a huge contribution to human history, has been made by creatures of all kinds - from the largest to the smallest. This presentation includes video content and sound and is suitable for audiences of all age ranges

 

At the conclusion of his visit, Ash commented, “I have really enjoyed joining the members of the Hanham Fibromyalgia Support Group for their regular meeting today. It is a personal pleasure to share the remarkable and inspiring, true-life stories of animals that have been awarded the Dickin Medal, which was geatly enjoyed by all members of the audience.”

 

Every member of the audience received a personal copy of the award-winning Senior Siren magazine, which is produced by the Senior Citizen Liaison Team and published quarterly online and via a local network of outlets.
